Introducing AdventureGenie: The World’s First AI-Powered Travel Planning Tool for RVers and Campers

(Bluffton, SC) — The creators of AdventureGenie are thrilled to unveil the world’s first RV and camping travel planning tool powered by Artificial Intelligence. Founded by a former Microsoft senior technology executive, Scott Lengel, and veteran CEO/Investor, David Greenberg, AdventureGenie uses next-generation technology to understand what RV travelers want when planning exciting adventures. In addition to creating itineraries, AdventureGenie’s smart technology can intelligently generate custom journeys based on the most sought-after themed trips, with detailed trip guides and recommended campgrounds and activities. AdventureGenie is the world’s first one-stop travel planning website for RVers, campers, and road trippers. For more information, visit https://www.adventuregenie.com/.

AdventureGenie includes an extensive database of over 25,000 public and private campgrounds and proprietary AI-based algorithms to customize itineraries for each user. AdventureGenie offers innovative features such as GenieSummaries (a unique way to summarize and describe each Campground), GenieScores (an innovative rating system) and GenieMatch (which shows how close AdventureGenie thinks each Campground is a good fit for each individual user). Travelers will learn what campgrounds are a great match for their personal preferences and will be able to reserve them.

“We answer the three key questions on campers’ and RVers’ minds: What to do? How to get there? Where to stay?,” said Scott Lengel, CEO of AdventureGenie. “Our GenieTrips provide detailed itineraries for dozens of popular destinations. Our 25,000+ database of campgrounds, with the built-in magic of GenieSummaries, GenieScores and GenieMatch, identifies the perfect campgrounds for each traveler.  And our adaptable route planning tool creates customized routes, recommends AI-generated GenieStops along the way, and is fully integrated with our campground database and our GenieTrips.”

Planning RV and camping trips can be complicated and frustrating. It often requires having an array of websites and apps open at once, ranging from individual campground websites to mapping websites to area attraction searches and more. Some apps have adequate route planners but list only a few of the many campgrounds near a stop. None of the existing websites or apps help travelers build trips in the way most RVers plan, and ratings for campgrounds are not trustworthy. RVers frequently like meandering on and off a route and other times it is all about getting directly to the destination to thoroughly explore an area. Some like the ’middle of nowhere’ sites, while others like places with all the amenities. AdventureGenie’s magic is that it thinks like actual travelers – and then makes it easy to turn a vision into a great trip, with all the planning tools in one place.

“AdventureGenie is the answer to the most vexing question my wife and I encountered while planning RV vacations: Can’t there be a one-stop-shop for RVers and campers to plan the trip of their dreams? The answer is an emphatic, YES,” said David Greenberg, Chairman of AdventureGenie.”

USA-MADE INNOVATION LEADS THE WORLD IN ACCURATE ARROWS

Since 1922, improving shooter accuracy has been a main driver behind Easton archery engineering. To meet that goal, Easton has developed a proprietary process called Acu-carbon. The Acu-Carbon process is a continuous-fed, single-die manufacturing method that produces uniform shafts and eliminates the need for spine and weight sorting that can plague accuracy-seeking archers and bowhunters. Carbon shafts made this way are used throughout the Easton line and are found in products such as 6.5, SONIC, AXIS, and FMJ.

For more information on the full-line of USA-made Easton arrows visit a qualified archery pro shop or go to www.eastonarchery.com

Maven Optics Receives NWTF Donor Plaques

EDGEFIELD, S.C. — Maven Optics was honored by the National Wild Turkey Federation on May 10th, receiving the prestigious NWTF Silver Life and Diamond Life Membership plaques. This recognition was in appreciation of their long-standing support, which includes product donations for local events, the national convention and special promotions.

The awards were presented to Maven at the Grand Opening of their newly built headquarters in Lander, Wyoming. NWTF Regional Director for Montana, Wyoming, Idaho and Arkansas, Jason Tarwater, attended the event to present the awards to Maven Optics.

“For several years now, the great folks at Maven have always answered the call when it comes to supporting the NWTF’s mission in Wyoming and across the country,” Tarwater said. “Maven was launched 10 years ago this July and it has been a joy to watch their company expand and grow. It is a testament of building great optics, having top notch customer service and giving back to conservation efforts such as the NWTF’s. I look forward to continuing this great partnership for years to come.”

Maven, among other major donors, stands as a strong advocate for the mission of the NWTF and exemplifies leadership in conservation. Their dedication goes beyond the norm, as they strive to secure our nation’s natural resources and preserve the hunting heritage for generations to come.

“Our support of NWTF is driven by our love of wild turkeys and turkey hunting, but also the need for work to maintain turkeys on the landscape,” said Brendon Weaver, co-owner of Maven. “Science-based research, habitat creation, and habitat enhancement not only helps these birds, but also helps a myriad of other game and nongame wildlife. NWTF’s commitment to this work ensures that wildlife, their habitat, and our hunting heritage will endure well into the future. That’s why we’ve supported NWTF in the past and why we’ll continue to support them far into the future.”

Unforgettable Adventures and Unyielding Determination

EDGEFIELD, S.C. — Completing just one of the National Wild Turkey Federation’s turkey hunting slams is a remarkable feat, and it’s a goal that many avid turkey hunters aspire to accomplish in their lifetime. Two individuals, though, have achieved something rare through the completion of all six of the NWTF’s wild turkey slams.

In the pursuit of this achievement, Clyde Neely from Kingwood, Texas, emerged as the trailblazer, becoming the first person to complete and register all six NWTF wild turkey slams in 2012.

Fast forward to 2023, and Chip Davis from Grenada, Mississippi, has become the second person to complete and register all six NWTF turkey hunting slams into the NWTF Wild Turkey Records. Davis embarked on his journey toward completing the slams in 1992 when he took his first trip to Missouri. At that time, his goal was simply to harvest a turkey outside of his home state. Upon achieving this goal, he looked to what might come next, and for him, it was going after the Grand Slam ? harvesting the Eastern, Osceola, Rio Grande and Merriam’s subspecies.

“This decision is much like just living life every day,” Davis said. “In life we all set goals, but sometimes we don’t set the biggest goals first.”

After achieving the Grand Slam, his ambitions naturally progressed to the Royal Slam, the World Slam and then the U.S. Super Slam. After 30 years of turkey hunting across the United States, from tent camping to hotel hopping, Davis eventually accomplished the Super Slam, harvesting one wild turkey in all 49 states with a turkey season (Alaska does not have a huntable population).

Please leave wildlife babies alone

Seeing young wild animals alone is common this time of year. Though some may wish to “rescue” these animals, don’t. Wildlife parents are doing their part to make sure their babies survive.

Here are some rules of thumb from the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission regarding wildlife babies:

Young non-feathered birds and nests with eggs discovered on the ground should be placed back in the tree. Baby birds covered in feathers found on the ground are being tended to by their parents; leave them alone.A lone fawn may appear to be abandoned or injured, but the mother frequently is off feeding or drinking. Do not move it. The longer the fawn is separated from its mother, the slimmer the chance it will be reunited with her. Know it is normal for a doe to leave its fawn to keep it from being detected by predators. Predators can see the doe as it feeds, so she leaves the fawn hidden and leaves the area to draw attention away from the fawn’s location.Baby rabbits are left unattended through much of the day and night. Mother cottontails do this to prevent drawing predators to the nest. If you see the rabbits, leave them alone.Do not try to raise wildlife babies as pets. As animals mature, they become more independent and follow natural instincts to leave and establish their own territories. Rescued animals are poorly prepared for life in the wild. Most wildlife babies are protected by state or federal law, and it is illegal to possess them.

Dryshod’s All-New Evalusion Boot In Stock and Ready to Ship

Dryshod, the new benchmark in performance waterproof footwear for outdoor recreation and occupational use, continues to advance footwear technology with the most comfortable, highest-performing, and now LIGHTEST WEIGHT waterproof boots on the market today. The all-new Evalusion Hunt, Evalusion Hi, and Evalusion Ankle boots boast a first-ever outsole material that makes them exceptionally light in weight but does so while delivering superior traction and support on any terrain.

Hunters and outdoor enthusiasts know that while waterproof boots are welcome assets in all manner of terrain and climate conditions, they often come at a “heavy” price. It is the weight of waterproof boots and the fatigue resulting from hours of walking difficult terrain that has limited their use for many outdoor adventurers. With the Dryshod Evalusion, that problem is solved.

The Evalusion is the first waterproof boot series to feature the Dryshod-exclusive Dureva outsole technology. Dureva is a lightweight and abrasion-resistant fusion compound that delivers the superior durability and traction demanded in a high-performance outsole while offering exceptional comfort, energy return, and stable footing. This means a secondary rubber outsole is no longer required. By eliminating the need for a secondary outsole, Evalusion boots are nearly one pound lighter than Dryshod’s already lightweight counterparts. Such weight reduction lets you go farther and for longer duration without the fatigue commonly associated with waterproof boots.

In addition to the weight reduction, the Dureva compound maximizes traction performance with the Evalusion’s multi-lug tread design. The tread offers optimal stealth by quietly flexing and bending over ground elements. This is of great value to hunters, of course, but also to anyone moving over difficult terrain where superior traction is essential.

To learn more about Dryshod’s ground-breaking Evalusion waterproof boot series or to see the company’s full line of waterproof footwear, visit DryshodUSA.com.

The Benefits of Hunting as a Recreational Activity: Health, Fitness, and Mental Well-being

In today’s hyperactive world, stress and sedentary lifestyles have become more and more commonplace. So, it is essential to participate in activities that promote physical and mental well-being. In our experience, hunting is an excellent recreational activity that provides many benefits. While there are other ways to unwind and interact with nature, hunting also improves your intellectual capability. In this article, we will delve deep into the benefits of hunting as a recreational activity, including its effect on health, fitness, and intellectual well-being.

Hunting as a Recreational Activity

Since the beginning of civilization, hunting has been an essential part of human history. For many people, it’s far a manner to reconnect with nature, escape the hustle and bustle of day-to-day existence, and check their bodies and minds. Hunting consists of pursuing and slaughtering wild animals for meals or recreation. Although some people might also view looking as a strenuous activity, it is a felony and controlled in many parts of the sector.

Health Benefits of Hunting

Hunting is a demanding activity that requires athleticism, stamina, and quick reactions. As a result, it has many fitness benefits, including better cardiovascular health, weight reduction, and elevated muscle power. Walking and trekking while hunting can help you lose up to 500 calories an hour. Hunting can also increase the body’s metabolism, enhancing weight loss due to the adrenaline rush that comes with it.

Nature’s tranquility can help reduce stress and enhance natural instincts. Hunting requires concentration, patience, and mindfulness, improving cognitive performance and reducing tension and melancholy symptoms.

Mental Benefits of Hunting

Hunting requires a lot of focus and concentration, both of which can help improve mental clarity and reduce mental clutter. The isolation and calm of nature can provide a sense of awareness and tranquility, which can help reduce stress and anxiety. The need to think while hunting in unfamiliar territory and tracking games can help hone these skills.

Blackhawk’s Zach Rodman and Jared Halbert Take Firstat South Carolina Tactical Games

Blackhawk®, a leader in law enforcement and military equipment for over 20 years, congratulates tactical athletes Zach Rodman and Jared Halbert for their first-place finish at The Tactical Games South Carolina Team Event 2023, which took place at The Sawmill Training Complex.

Like individual Tactical Games events in terms of structure, Team Events see two competitors working together to complete various physical and marksmanship stages as quickly as possible. Rodman and Halbert both ran Blackhawk T-Series® holsters and Foundation Series Tac Nylon gear, including plate carrier and belt, to help them secure first-place in the Men’s Elite Division.

“Jared and I have competed against each other since 2019,” said Rodman. “We first met on the firing line in Mississippi, and since that time have remained good friends. I’m more of a team orientated person by nature, so having Jared as a partner over the last two years has been great. Not only is he a great teammate, but as a former champion, he knows what it takes to win. I push hard individually, but there’s an element of not letting your teammate down that makes you push even harder.”

The duo, who previously secured a second-place win when they competed together last season, have praised the Foundation Series and T-Series holsters as a big contributor to their success both in individual and team competitions.

“The Foundation Series Plate Carrier is very minimalist but still holds standard sized plates,” Halbert said. “This design makes it easy to traverse obstacles where other plate carriers would get caught-up. Plus, the removable placard options have proven to be great for mission specific loadouts. Likewise, I’m also pretty particular about holsters, and the T-Series is not only fast, but it also retains the pistol through any kind of movement.”

Badlands® Andaire Line Designed to Beat the Heat

Sandy, UTAH – Too hot to hunt is not a concept we’re familiar with. That said, we’ve slogged through some highly uncomfortable situations that we may not be too keen on repeating. With those hot hunts in mind, we developed the Andaire line of hot-weather gear.

We started with a wish list of performance features we all wanted to see in hot-weather gear. Superior breathability to keep air flowing. Moisture-wicking technology to help our bodies regulate internal temps. Ultra-quick drying to keep the sticky, sweaty feeling at bay. In other words, we only asked for everything.

And thanks to Eclipse Air-Vent fabric, we’ve been able to accomplish everything. This is our lightest-weight, most-breathable, hunting-capable fabric. It’s designed to throw off as much heat as possible and still survive the backcountry.

Available as a men’s Short Sleeve Crew or Long Sleeve Crew and a Women’s Long Sleeve Crew, the Andaire shirts are as close to wearing nothing as we can design.

Not to leave the bottom half out of the picture, we’ve also introduced a new Women’s Lightweight Legging, which is a warm-to-hot-weather option to the fan-favorite Lagatha Legging. Lightweight, four-way stretch fabric (with thigh pockets) offers the comfort of the yoga/athletic-style pants, with Badlands durability.

Cimarron Firearms stepped up to fill the need for commercially stamped traditional hunting calibers to support its customers and products.

Cimarron Firearms, makers of quality replicas of Old West firearms, have been quietly filling a hole left wide open when manufacturers of traditional hunting calibers slowly rode off into the sunset. Since 2020, Cimarron Firearms has partnered with Steinel Ammunition to deliver 45-60 Win. and 50-95 Win. ammunition to support customers and the many true-to-original replicas they design and produce.

“While the reloading community for traditional hunting and cowboy action rounds exists, it didn’t help our customers that wanted the experience of owning and hunting with one of our Tom Horn or Presidio lever action rifles,” Bryce Wayt, VP of Operations and Media for Cimmaron Firearms, explained. “It became obvious to us that we needed to provide that optimal experience, and that included providing commercially available ammunition to our customers.”

As American manufacturers rode the wave of self-defense ammunition demands, Cimarron started from ground zero. Sourcing the reloadable brass, bullets, and powder to produce the 45-60 and 50-95 calibers became a logistical obstacle course during the ammunition scarcity months. Perseverance and a determination to provide customers with the same high quality in their named ammunition as in their firearms drove Cimarron to test multiple loaders until finally settling on Steinel Ammunition to load Cimarron’s ammunition. Steinel Ammunition, a premium ammunition company, concentrates on historical, traditional, and hard-to-find ammunition calibers.
