Millennium Marine’s R100 Spyderlok Gen 2 is Built for Anglers Serious About Multi Rigging and About Quality

Simultaneously utilizing multiple fishing rods to offer target fish a variety of baits and tactics is a fantastic method to up the odds when investing time on the water. Whether it’s spider rigging jigs for crappie over submerged structure, dropping cut baits on top of big blue cats, trolling crankbaits for walleye, or drifting shrimp over saltwater flats; multi rod fishing can be extremely productive.

Millennium Marine’s R100 Spyderlok Gen 2 is the perfect multi-rod holder for any angler rigging multiple rods in the boat, no matter the target species or the conditions on the water. Constructed of all anodized aluminum, the R100 is impervious to rust and salt and built to withstand the elements. The sturdy, 20-inch aluminum crossbar accommodates up to four-rod holders. Adjustable rod holders accept both spinning or baitcasting rigs equally well, including plastic-coated contact points protecting rods and reels from abuse.

By utilizing a combination of varied rod lengths and positioning specific rod angles, multiple fishing rigs can easily be presented at various depths and with multiple presentations. Millennium Marine’s patented Spyderlok technology makes it all possible by ensuring tight, secure locking angles and incremental rod adjustments, preventing tangled lines, and keeping baits in the water where they belong.

The R100 is uniformly suited for fishing both off the front or from the back of the boat. Easily installed and fully adjustable, the crossbar and rod holders conveniently rotate a full 360 degrees. The all-aluminum crossbar height is adjustable from 12 to 20 inches, helping anglers prevent neck and eye strain depending on angling tactics, standing or sitting height, and the location of the electronics monitor.

The R101 base plate sits flush with the floor, preventing a tripping hazard. Two adjustable knobs provide quick and easy removal for transport with no tools required, and additional base plates are available.

Why Should I Add a Sight To My Gun?

With gun accuracy, nothing is more important than a good sight, and adding one is always considered an important upgrade. Sights can help you aim more accurately, and sometimes, can be the difference between hitting your target and missing completely. There are a variety of reasons why you might want to add a sight to your gun. The article below discusses why you should add a sight for your weapon and a few things to consider when doing so.

Why You Should Add A Sight To Your Gun

There are multiple reasons why you might want to add a sight to your gun. Whether you’re shooting for competition, hunting or just fun, a sight can help you hit your target every time. The best sight will depend on the type of gun you’re using and your personal shooting style. However, there are a few key benefits that all sights share.

First, a sight increases your field of view. This allows you to see more of your target and make small adjustments to your aim. Second, a sight helps you focus on the target. This is especially important in low-light conditions or when the target is moving.

Finally, a sight gives you a reference point for consistently hitting your target. If you’re using your firearm for self-defense, adding Tritium Gun Sights can help you take down an assailant more quickly and accurately. If you’re using your gun for target shooting, a sight can help you hit your targets more consistently. With practice, you’ll be able to hit targets at long range with ease.

What Type Of Sight Do You Need?

There are three main types of sights: open sights, optical sights, and electronic sights. Open sights are the most basic type and comprise a front sight and a rear sight. Optical sights contain a lens that magnifies the target, while electronic sights use a digital display to help you aim.

Viridian Attends Minnesota Chiefs of Police Foundation Expo

Viridian Weapon Technologies is in attendance at the Minnesota Chiefs of Police Association (MCPA) 2022 Executive Training Institute & Law Enforcement Expo. The event will be held in Duluth, MN and runs from April 4 to April 7. Viridian (Booth #905) will feature its FACT Duty Gun Camera, the only product designed to show what really happened in an officer involved shooting.

The MCPA’s execute Training Institute (ETI) is a world-class training event and expo, attracting more than 400 law enforcement leaders from across Minnesota. The MCPA brings in national, regional and local experts to share information and insights on some of the most pertinent public safety topics today.

“The need to know what happened in an officer involved shooting remains paramount to public safety,” said Viridian President and CEO, Brian Hedeen. “Viridian’s WMC provides that clarity. The WMC is the only technology designed to capture an OIS from the unobstructed view of the gun, and footage from these WMCs continues to provide the critical evidence in court. We look forward to spending time with hundreds of law enforcement leaders from our home state of Minnesota.”

The Viridian WMC provided crucial evidence in an officer-involved shooting (OIS) trial in Vernon, Texas in 2020. The jury convicted the defendant of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon on a public official. The WMC provided the critical evidence in the case by showing the defendant pointing a sawed-off shotgun at Vernon Police Corporal T.J. Session during an exchange of gunfire in which both Corporal Session and the defendant were shot and wounded.

The highly advanced WMC employs a 1080p full-HD digital camera with a microphone and 500 lumen tactical light. Viridian’s proprietary INSTANT-ON® technology automatically activates the camera and microphone whenever the officer draws the firearm from its holster. Not only does this eliminate risk of failure to manually turn on the camera during a critical event, but it also keeps the officer from fumbling with cumbersome equipment.

As its name implies, the Sea Falcon® Z-Slow Deep Neo jig offers enticing “Z” action even in the deepest areas. The Z-Slow Deep Neo is specifically designed for situations where you need optimum action in deep water and strong currents where lighter jigs or other designs might fail.

Z-Slow Deep Neo jigs are also available in a variety of enticing colors. Sea Falcon enhances the appeal of each lure with aluminum or holographic applications. Hook eyes are all part of the same one-piece wireframe to ensure superior strength and lure integrity. The rugged hand-painted finish will stand up to repeated attacks from the toothiest predators. Z-Slow Deep Neo jigs are available in a range of heavy-weight sizes from 200 – 400 grams.

To ensure you can fine-tune your presentation to get the best performance from your jigs, Sea Falcon has developed a specification chart for each jig indicating the correct fall speed, weight balance, pause time, current, pulling resistance and slide width, and maps them out on an easy to understand chart on their website.

Every Sea Falcon lure is based on a hand-carved original created by CEO and Chief Designer Tetsuya Itou, one of Japan’s foremost lure designers. Based in Hamamatsu, Japan, they operate under the ‘Total Package’ concept, combining all processes from planning and development to manufacturing all under one roof. Convergent Overseer Predator Pro Pack: A Triple Whammy for Predators

Convergent’s Overseer Predator Pro Pack is a set of easy-to-use mouth-blown predator calls designed by Master Call Builder Kerry Carver and professional predator hunter Byron South. So when you need realistic sounds to bring predators in, the Overseer Predator Pro Pack is the perfect handheld solution.

Predators such as coyotes often move into areas where they haven’t been historically numerous. In many cases, they begin to compete with human hunters for wild game, sometimes severely reducing natural populations of desirable species such as deer and wild turkey. It’s only natural that hunters wishing to reduce the number of predators can attract them by using the sounds of wounded or distressed animals. The Predator Pro Pack contains a trio of the best calls ever made for this purpose.

The Overseer Open Reed Predator Call is often relied upon by professional hunters due to its wide range of sounds, offering the ability to make high-pitched bird sounds, raspy distressed-jackrabbit sounds, and everything in between. The Open Reed Overseer can even be used to imitate coyote howls and ki-yis, all while resisting reed freeze. In addition, its thin Mylar reed makes it easy to blow, and the unique tone board design helps hunters easily transition from low to high pitch sounds.

The Overseer Predator Bite Call offers a rubber mouthpiece, which hunters can “bite” to change its tone and create a wide range of distressed-animal sounds. Adjusting one’s pinch point and air pressure enable callers to create “emotion” in the call to get predators excited about coming in – even those call-shy critters who have learned to be wary of coming to calls.

The Overseer Closed Reed Cotton Tail Call brings simplicity and consistency to your calling, ensuring the perfect sound every time. Neither lip position nor bite pressure matter with this call, making it extremely easy to use. To vary the pitch and volume of the calling, use your hand to create some backpressure. The double stainless steel reed is designed to last a lifetime, ensuring that a hunter’s calls will always sound like a cottontail rabbit in distress.

Polymer80, Inc. Villainized by NBC News Article

An NBC News article titled “Polymer80’s name has become synonymous with ‘ghost guns.’ Now it’s in the crosshairs.” is an attempt to distort facts, sensationalize crime statistics and turn an innovative company into a villain.

Anti-Second Amendment politicians, advocacy groups and members of the media use the label “ghost gun” to strike fear and trick the public. Those individuals and groups want the public to believe that privately made firearms are synonymous with crime, even though thousands, if not millions, of Americans have lawfully engaged in this right and freedom for centuries. The truth is, there is a long, storied tradition of firearms use and innovation in America, including the freedom to participate in the build and customization of firearms.  Americans have, for centuries, participated in this great tradition in compliance with federal, state, and local laws applicable to them.

Polymer80, Inc. has always operated — and will continue to operate — lawfully, in compliance with local, state and federal laws. Polymer80, Inc. will also continue to vigorously challenge encroachments and attacks on freedom, such as attempts to co-opt the term “ghost gun” for political purposes (whether it be through outright bans on privately made firearms or ill-conceived restrictions) or attack the Second Amendment and the rights of law-abiding Americans.  Polymer80 stands ready to defend the constitutional rights of every American to engage their freedom.

About Polymer80: Polymer80, Inc. designs and develops innovative firearms, firearm-related products, and accessories. A cornerstone of its foundation is providing ways for customers to lawfully participate in the build process and practice the right to bear arms embedded in the U.S. Constitution. We summarize this with our motto of “Engage Your Freedom.” Find out more at www.polymer80.com.

Shimano Unveils the Ultimate Surf Casting Reel

Cast Farther, Fish Longer, Fight Tougher with the New Ultegra XSE

Surf casters demand versatility and durability from their tackle. Whether throwing giant swimbaits from the rocks along the Cape Cod Canal, slinging eels in the surf in the shadow of Montauk Light, or launching chunks past the third breaker on the Outer Banks, anglers require that every piece of equipment helps them cast farther, fish longer and fight tougher. Shimano leverages over a century of design and manufacturing excellence in crafting the new Ultegra XSE spinning reel, providing peak performance in every situation and exceeding the expectations of the most passionate surf casters.

Exclusive technologies within Ultegra XSE help surf anglers cast farther and fight tougher. Ultegra XSE features Shimano’s Super Slow 5 Oscillation, which minimizes line friction by reducing oscillation speed, increasing casting distance and accuracy. Now, previously unreachable fish are well within range. Shimano’s Infinity Drive technology makes its debut in the surf reel category within Ultegra XSE. Infinity Drive features a unique low-friction bushing that significantly decreases frictional resistance and provides up to 30% more winding power under load. A proprietary surface treatment on the main shaft coupled with special processing dramatically reduces rotational resistance, yielding a reel that can actively wind even under heavy loads, helping surf casting anglers combat stubborn game fish.

Shimano engineers fortified Ultegra XSE with additional features that enhance the reel’s power and durability. An ultra-rigid CI4+ body reduces body flex and directly translates angler input into winding action. By leveraging an exclusive three-dimensional design process and eliminating cutting work on the drive gear, the cold-forged HAGANE Gear offers unparalleled durability compared to reels with diecast or machined gears. These unique features combine to provide exceptional reeling smoothness and long-lasting gear durability. The X-Ship system within Ultegra XSE maintains precise pinion gear alignment with the drive gear by supporting the pinion gear with bearings on both ends to provide increased gear durability when fighting hard-charging fish. Ultegra XSE leverages sealed S A-RB bearings and X-Protect technology for added toughness in unforgiving saltwater environments. An exclusive combination of water-repellent coatings and water-channeling labyrinth construction, Shimano’s X-Protect technology shrugs off the elements and delivers years of performance in the surf.

The ultimate surf casting reel, Shimano’s Ultegra XSE (ULT14000XSE) is available in the popular 14000 size, accommodating 330 yards of 20-pound-test monofilament and delivering the perfect combination of power, performance and durability that avid anglers demand. Look for the new Ultegra XSE at authorized Shimano dealers early this Summer with an MSRP of $214.99.
