Easy Baked Halibut

Baked Lemon Herb Halibut

Ingredients:

  • 2 halibut fillets (6-8 oz each)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Lemon slices for garnish
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, dried thyme, and dried rosemary. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Place the halibut fillets in a baking dish. Pour the lemon herb mixture over the fillets, making sure they are evenly coated.
  4. If you have time, you can let the fillets marinate in the mixture for about 15-20 minutes to enhance the flavor.
  5. Place a slice of lemon on top of each fillet.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the halibut is opaque and easily flakes with a fork.
  7. Once cooked, remove from the oven and garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
  8. Serve the baked halibut with your favorite side dishes, such as steamed vegetables, rice, or a light salad.

Enjoy your delicious and easy-to-make baked lemon herb halibut!

Please note that cooking times may vary depending on the thickness of the halibut fillets, so it's always a good idea to check for doneness by gently flaking the fish with a fork.
