Baked Lemon Herb Halibut
Ingredients:
- 2 halibut fillets (6-8 oz each)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Lemon slices for garnish
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, dried thyme, and dried rosemary. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Place the halibut fillets in a baking dish. Pour the lemon herb mixture over the fillets, making sure they are evenly coated.
- If you have time, you can let the fillets marinate in the mixture for about 15-20 minutes to enhance the flavor.
- Place a slice of lemon on top of each fillet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the halibut is opaque and easily flakes with a fork.
- Once cooked, remove from the oven and garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
- Serve the baked halibut with your favorite side dishes, such as steamed vegetables, rice, or a light salad.
Enjoy your delicious and easy-to-make baked lemon herb halibut!
Please note that cooking times may vary depending on the thickness of the halibut fillets, so it's always a good idea to check for doneness by gently flaking the fish with a fork.
