Grilled Sea Bass

Grilled sea bass is a delicious and healthy option that allows the natural flavors of the fish to shine. Here's a simple and flavorful grilled sea bass recipe:

Ingredients:
  • 4 sea bass fillets (about 6 ounces each)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges for serving
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
  1. Prepare the Marinade:
    • In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, dried oregano, paprika, salt, and black pepper. This will be your marinade.
  2. Marinate the Sea Bass:
    • Place the sea bass fillets in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the fillets, ensuring they are well-coated. Marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator. You can also marinate it longer for enhanced flavor, even overnight.
  3. Preheat the Grill:
    • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Make sure the grates are clean and lightly oiled to prevent sticking.
  4. Remove Sea Bass from Marinade:
    • Take the sea bass fillets out of the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature for about 10-15 minutes. Remove excess marinade from the fillets.
  5. Grill the Sea Bass:
    • Place the sea bass fillets on the preheated grill. Cook for approximately 3-4 minutes per side, or until the fish is opaque and easily flakes with a fork. Cooking times may vary based on the thickness of the fillets.
  6. Baste with Marinade:
    • While grilling, baste the sea bass with the remaining marinade to keep it moist and infuse additional flavor.
  7. Check for Doneness:
    • Check the sea bass for doneness by using a fork to gently pull apart the flesh. It should flake easily and be opaque all the way through.
  8. Serve:
    • Transfer the grilled sea bass to a serving platter. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the fish.
  9. Enjoy:
    • Serve the grilled sea bass alongside your favorite side dishes, such as steamed vegetables, rice, or a fresh salad.

This grilled sea bass recipe is simple yet full of flavor. The marinade enhances the natural taste of the fish, and grilling adds a smoky char. Adjust the seasonings to your liking and enjoy a light and delicious seafood dish.
