Wild Boar Recipe
Grilled Wild Boar Steaks with Rosemary and Garlic
Ingredients:
- 4 wild boar steaks (about 1 inch thick)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, mix the minced garlic, chopped rosemary, olive oil, salt, and pepper to create a marinade.
- Place the wild boar steaks in a shallow dish and coat them with the marinade. Make sure both sides of the steaks are well coated. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove the wild boar steaks from the marinade and let any excess drip off. Reserve the marinade.
- Place the steaks on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. Wild boar meat is lean, so be careful not to overcook it.
- While grilling, you can brush the steaks with some of the reserved marinade for extra flavor.
- Once cooked, remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve the grilled wild boar steaks with your favorite side dishes, such as roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad.
Enjoy your flavorful and succulent grilled wild boar steaks with the aromatic combination of rosemary and garlic! Remember that wild game meat can have a stronger flavor compared to domestic meats, so the marinade and grilling process help enhance its taste and tenderness.
