Wild Boar Recipe

Grilled Wild Boar Steaks with Rosemary and Garlic

Ingredients:

  • 4 wild boar steaks (about 1 inch thick)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, mix the minced garlic, chopped rosemary, olive oil, salt, and pepper to create a marinade.
  2. Place the wild boar steaks in a shallow dish and coat them with the marinade. Make sure both sides of the steaks are well coated. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the wild boar steaks from the marinade and let any excess drip off. Reserve the marinade.
  5. Place the steaks on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. Wild boar meat is lean, so be careful not to overcook it.
  6. While grilling, you can brush the steaks with some of the reserved marinade for extra flavor.
  7. Once cooked, remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
  8. Serve the grilled wild boar steaks with your favorite side dishes, such as roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad.

Enjoy your flavorful and succulent grilled wild boar steaks with the aromatic combination of rosemary and garlic! Remember that wild game meat can have a stronger flavor compared to domestic meats, so the marinade and grilling process help enhance its taste and tenderness.
