Kwik Stand Steadies Shots and Ends Crossbow Roll-Over

Most of today’s top crossbows advertise their slender profile, such that they are nearly as round as a baseball bat.  A trim profile works well in a tree stand or shooting in tight places, however, the narrowness has a downside.  I often hunt from the ground and I’m constantly cradling the bow to keep the cams out of the dirt and debris.

At times I long for the wider limbs so that I can rest the bow on the stock and forend so that it stays verticle.  The folks at Pine Ridge Archery have solved this problem with a small bipod that steadies the crossbow and keeps it from rolling.

Light and Flexible

Many crossbow and rifle rests advertised on Television are designed for long-range shooting and are not attached to your crossbow.  They weigh from three to eight pounds, usually have extended tripod legs, and are separate from the crossbow.

The Kwik Stand is designed to be used attached to the bow and offers a solid rest from the prone position.  It keeps your crossbow in the vertical position so that you can easily slide the safety to the “off” position and raise it without putting your hands or fingers in harm’s way.  The legs of the Kwik Stand easily attach and can be carried in your pocket and reassembled in seconds as needed.

Picatinny Rail Attachment

The plastic attachment device fits on standard rails and weighs just ounces.  Once installed the legs of the Kwik Stand snap onto it and you have the ability to rest your crossbow on the ground or a flat surface without rolling over.  This attachment piece fits snugly so there’s no danger of vibration upon launch and the tightening screw uses a standard Allen wrench.

Snug and Out of the Way

This photo shows how the attachment unit locks onto the Picatinny rail.  Once mounted, it’s virtually unnoticeable until you want to use it.  My Tenpoint has enough space for the Kwik Stand and a three-arrow quiver on the rail.

Great for Repairs

The Kwik Stand is perfect for times when you want to change a sight or make a modification to your crossbow, even waxing cables or inspecting at the end of a hunt.  Because the Kwik Stand keeps the bow verticle you can swap a sight in good light and not wrestle with balancing the bow.  Once you get used to having your bow sit vertically, it’s like you taught it to “sit.”  Good Boy!

All the Features

I’ve just had my Kwik Stand a few days and I’m sure there are features I’ve not yet experienced, so I copied the highlights that Pine Ridge Archery listed on the package.  On my way from a morning hunt, I came across a fat groundhog near the edge of a field.  I dispatched it quickly and the cost of that TenPoint arrow and Sevr Robusto broadhead cost about the same as this cool new device.  Check them out at www.PineRidgeArchery.com
