Tampa congressional candidate to give away AR-15s as fundraiser

Republican frontrunner in Florida’s 14th Congressional District primary James Judge is giving away AR-15s as part of a fundraiser, and in defiance of House Democrat gun control measures

TAMPA, Fla. – In defiance of the Democrat-controlled U.S. House and U.S. Senate’s most recent push for further gun control measures, the frontrunner in Florida’s 14th Congressional District Republican Primary is giving away several AR-15s made by a controversial Florida gun manufacturer.

James Judge is hosting a giveaway of custom-made AR-15s from Spike’s Tactical to up to four lucky registrants who enter the drawing.

In addition to being known for making some of the best AR-15s on the planet, Spike’s Tactical has also made national and international headlines for years due to their extra-controversial products.

For example, the Spike’s Tactical Crusader rifle caused international media attention in 2015 because it featured a Bible verse on the side and was reportedly designed to not be used by Muslim terrorists.

“The Democrats in Congress are doing everything they can to strip Americans of their Second Amendment rights, so I’m going to do what I can to counter that,” said Judge. “In the latest effort to impose unconstitutional measures on law-abiding citizens, Democrats passed and signed into law legislation that incentivizes states to impose Red Flag Laws, which strip Americans not only of their firearms, but also of their right to due process.”

The U.S. House of Representatives, for which Judge is running, passed the latest gun control legislation mostly along party lines. That bill was recently signed into law by President Biden in June.

“These laws pushed by Democrats are not only unconstitutional, but will be totally ineffective in preventing gun violence,” said Judge. “My Democrat opponent and the rest of her colleagues know that, but they want to put on a show for their base and pretend they are doing something to end gun violence. Criminals by their very nature don’t follow the law, and taking guns out of the hands of law-abiding Americans won’t change that simple fact.”

Judge believes the Second Amendment is not only critical, but absolute.

“The Second Amendment clearly states that our right to bear arms shall not be infringed,” said Judge. “America is the freest country in the world because citizens have the right to own weapons. The Second Amendment is not about hunting. It is about Americans having the right to defend themselves from criminals, rioters, and of course, against a tyrannical, overreaching government.”

According to Florida Politics, Judge has been described as the frontrunner in the primary race, and his campaign continues to pick up steam.

Earlier this week, Judge was endorsed by Arizona Congressman Paul Gosar, who represents Arizona’s 4th Congressional District.

Judge has also been endorsed by Congressman Ted Yoho (retired 2021), The Tampa Police Benevolent Association, Clearwater Mayor Frank Hibbard and former SBA White House Deputy Chief Matt Becker, who previously ran for Congress against an incumbent Democrat in St. Petersburg.

About James Judge:
Judge, who publicly announced his run for Congress earlier this year, is the only Tampa Bay area native running in the race, having been born in Clearwater, Florida. Judge graduated from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg and served in the U.S. Coast Guard in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Additionally, he served in Kabul, Afghanistan as a spokesman for the U.S. Department of Defense from 2010 until 2011. He now owns Judge Public Relations, a Tampa-based PR firm and marketing agency with clients worldwide.

Judge is married to his wife Danielle, who is a small business owner in Hillsborough County. The Judges are avid animal lovers and together, they have four dogs, three cats, three horses and 10 chickens. Judge is a proud member of the NRA, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. The Judges are also active members at Idlewild Baptist Church in Tampa.
