After the shot, I heard the bull break a few branches, but didn’t think he went very far. About two minutes later I heard breaking of branches one more time. The forest was then quiet. A couple of texts to family and friends helped to pass the half hour I made myself wait. As I followed the blood trail for a short 30 yards, I was shocked when I came around a willow bush and came face to face with my bull.
