BOULDER — Roofnest revealed the first-ever Sparrow Adventure and Sparrow Adventure XL hard-shell rooftop tents, the only rooftop tent on the market with built-in crossbars. The segment-exclusive integrated crossbars allow campers to carry up to 100 pounds extra gear on top of their Sparrow Adventure rooftop tent. 

“Campers no longer have to choose between mounting either their tent or toys to the roof of their vehicle; now they can do both. Sparrow Adventure comes in two sizes. Sparrow Adventure measures 84 inches long and 50 inches wide and sleeps two adults. Sparrow Adventure XL is 84 inches long and 56 inches wide and sleeps two to three adults. Both close down to a mere 12 inches tall, leaving enough room for campers to store their bedding inside the tent when it’s closed. 

Campers can attach up to 100 pounds of gear to the top of Sparrow Adventure. The internally mounted, fast-deploying marine-grade struts are strong enough to support up to 40 pounds of gear (more than the average kayak) even while the tent is open. That means campers don’t need to fully unpack before going to sleep.

Space for solar panels: Sparrow Adventure’s top shell is designed to accommodate a 100-Watt flexible solar panel; Sparrow Adventure XL can fit a 160-Watt flexible solar panel.  Included storage bag nests in a storage cubby molded into the rear of the tent’s top shell.  Integrated LED lights illuminate the interior at night. Built-in three-inch thick foam mattress (thickest in class) with removable cover and anti-condensation mat for dry, comfortable, year-round camping in all weather conditions.  Waterproof and breathable 280-gram polyester-cotton canvas construction with reinforced corners that are insulative and quiet in the wind.  Unique detachable pocket system keeps shoes and other items handy and dry. ● Detachable 8.5-foot telescoping ladder — long enough for even the tallest rigs.
