Easton Arrows the Choice of Champions at 2021 World Archery Championships

Following the massive success of archers using Easton arrows at the Tokyo Olympic Games, target archery’s biggest stage shifted to the United States for the 2021 World Archery Championships, hosted at the NFAA Easton Yankton Archery Center in Yankton, SD.

For Team Easton, the domination continued, with archers using Easton X10 or X10 Pro Tour arrows winning 11 of 12 individual medals and taking every World Champion title.

Some of the highlights of the weekend include Sara Lopez of Colombia, the most decorated Women’s Compound archer of all time, finding the elusive Outdoor World Championship title that had evaded her thus far, and doing so in dominant fashion. Bolstering an already legendary career, South Korea’s Kim Woojin won his third World Championship in the Men’s Recurve category. South Korea’s Jang Minhee won her first World Championship, earning a victory over 17-year-old American Casey Kaufhold. Silver medal winner Kaufhold knocked off Olympic Champion An San in the semis, with San going on to win Bronze. In Men’s Compound, rising star and past Junior World Champion Nico Wiener of Austria came through with the upset over Mike Schloesser of the Netherlands, earning his first World Championship in the premier category.

The Team Easton Archer’s earning medals include:

Men’s Recurve Individual

Gold – Kim Woojin, South Korea
Silver – Marcus D’Almeida, Brazil
Bronze – Brady Ellison, USA

Women’s Recurve Individual

Gold – Jang Minhee, South Korea
Silver – Casey Kaufhold, USA
Bronze – An San, South Korea

Men’s Compound Individual

Gold – Nico Wiener, Austria
Silver – Mike Schloesser, Netherlands

Women’s Compound Individual

Gold – Sara Lopez, Colombia
Silver – Jyothi Vennam, India
Bronze – Andrea Becerra, Mexico

With blustery winds that of shifted direction, archers were tested not only by their opponent, but by the conditions as well. It was conditions such as this that the Easton X10 was designed for, and the reason it is the arrow choice for more World Champions and World Record holders than any other arrow.
