Chief Upland Announces Acquisition of Q5 Outdoor Products

Manitowoc, Wis. – Chief Upland is excited to announce the acquisition of Q5 Outdoor Products, makers of upland hunting vests, clay shooting belts and accessories. Founded in 2011, Q5 boasts 100% made in the U.S. products made by a lifelong bird hunter.

Chief is dedicated to building a full suite of highly technical upland hunting gear from head to toe. Different types of hunting and locations require different types of equipment, and the acquisition of Q5 Outdoors brings the Chief Upland brand from having one core upland vest style to more than six. Chief will now have dialed-in gear offerings for hunting in every climate and for pursuing all types of upland game.

All Q5 products will be brought under the Chief Upland brand, made in the U.S. and updated gradually as new inventory is manufactured. Chief will continue innovating with the Q5 products even further over the next few years, making the products complementary to their existing Over/Under Vest system, and all of the military-style MOLLE pouches will be functional on vests from both collections. Additionally, pouches will be able to transfer from one vest style to another in between hunts.
