2022 DU Ducks in the Desert Continental Shoot set for March 2-6
Register now for the 36th Annual sporting clays event
Ducks Unlimited’s (DU) Ducks in the Desert Continental Shoot sporting clays competition is scheduled for March 2-6, at the world-class Clark County Shooting Complex in North Las Vegas.
The competition, now in its 36th year, hosts skilled sporting clay shooters from around North America supporting wetlands conservation and shooting for more than $75,000 in prizes.
This year, the Las Vegas Continental Shoot will feature the 200 Main Event, 50-target sub-gauge and Super Sporting events, other regular events including 5-STAND and several side games, including the popular Gnat Warfare drone shoot.
All events are governed by National Sporting Clays Association (NSCA) rules, but membership in the NSCA is not required to participate in this tournament.
Created in 1986, the 2022 Ducks in the Desert Shoot features title sponsors Browning, Federal Ammunition and The Plaza Hotel.
“We are looking forward to seeing everyone at our 2022 Ducks in the Desert Continental Shoot,” said Jim Konkel, chair of DU’s National Shooting Committee. “As always, it’s going to be a good time raising money for the ducks. Whether this is your first time attending this tournament or you’re a seasoned veteran, we are sure you will have a great time. The prize package is very similar to previous years, and we hope to see you there. After last year’s mandated reduction in participants, we are back to full capacity and welcome one and all to the competition.”
Given the shortage of ammunition around the U.S., participants are encouraged to bring their own shells. Ammunition can be shipped ahead of the competition to:
