I've got a LOT of homework to do over the next few months! Currently in the planning process for 2 out of state hunts that I've NEVER been on before. Not really in any particular order just yet, but I'm planning a Western South Dakota whitetail bowhunt, and an Arizona desert Mule Deer bowhunt. Both look to be a wild adventure, and even more so with them being solo and self filmed, DIY public land hunts. I have a whole lot of work ahead of me, and realistically not a whole lot of time. Just 9 months from now to be 100% ready to go. That's a change in my health routine a little bit, one heck of a new exercise program to get cracking on, and a lot of map work... Should be one hell of an adventure!

It's been pretty busy on the filming/editing front for me lately! After a relatively slow and downright ugly deer season this year, I've transitioned into my trapping season, and preparation for next year's deer hunting adventures. While I still have an entire month left to chase deer with my bow (and will be doing just that!), I have about 20 videos in the works geared towards public land and whitetails, PLUS a few really cool hunts currently being planned out all across the Country that you'll see some of the planning and prep work involved. While I cannot give out all of the details yet, mainly because I'm just now getting into the planning stages, it's going to be a FUN 2019 season! I'll be going through the subscribers on my youTube channel often, and sometime between March and July I'll be posting on my YouTube channels community page about 2 specific hunts you may be interested in. One of which will likely be a Spring turkey hunt here in MN or WI for one of our subscribers, and the other.... You'll have to wait and see but you had better practice with your bow out to about 50 yards! and it has NOTHING to do with MN or WI, or the Midwest at all for that matter...

If you're not subscribed to our channel yet, head on over to  http://www.youtube.com/denstad1 and subscribe. Then head over to the community section on our channel and say hi, then keep watch! 2019 is going to be epic!

For those of you who filmed this season (or currently still are out there), what are some of your biggest lessons learned this year? We all have our moments behind or in front of the camera, let's hear yours!

For me, I was filming while using my wireless mic. I checked the audio with ear buds like always, but got so tied up in the moment with a ton of activity that I totally spaced the batteries in the mic portion dying on me killing the audio of some pretty cool coyote on turkey action.... Now no matter what I change my batteries the start of every single hunt. It get a little expensive changing out the batteries as often as I do, but for me not capturing the whole store is far more expensive than the costs of the batteries...
