Hog Hunting
Follow the creek beds and wooded areas to flush out a herd of wild hogs. If you are looking for a trophy boar with razor sharp tusks or a smaller meat hog, you won't be disappointed. Areas of dense cover provide for both bow and rifle hunting. On site lodging is available for multi-day hunts. Reservations required with a two hunter minimum. This is a guided hunt.

Pheasant Hunting
Lone Star Hunts offers two exciting pheasant options in our private bird hunting area--European and Field Pheasant Hunts. Dove Hunting

Brad and Minnie Dennison have made Sitka their home since the mid-70's. During that time Brad has worked as an engineer, public works director, and hunting guide and outfitter. Minnie has worked as a registered nurse in Sitka as well as a Para-professional for the school district. Together they have raised three children, all of whom continue to work and live in Alaska.

Brad has guided black bear and brown bear hunters in Southeast Alaska since 1985. Initially as an assistant guide for the legendary Ben Forbes and since 1990 as a registered guide. Brad and Minnie began conducting summer sightseeing trips in the mid-90's.

For many years Minnie has done the cooking on the sightseeing trips as well as the bear hunts. She has decided that she's ready for retirement and beginning in 2015 is content to let the cooking chores be handled by others.

Adams Lodge Outfitters is a family owned and operated wilderness outfitting business catering to the avid outdoors person interested in  hunting and fishing the Flattop Wilderness Area of the White River National Forest.   Adams Lodge Outfitters operates June through October in all three of the  Marvine Drainages of Game Management Unit 24, lying east of Meeker, Colo, in the Northwest corner of the state.

Adams Lodge Outfitters offers summer fishing trips into Upper Marvine Lake, primarily to our Wilderness Camp, a comfortable wall tent camp that allows you the opportunity to explore the rim underneath the Flat Tops, fish the Upper Marvine Lake, or Main Marvine Creek while enjoying the Colorado Wilderness.  We also will provide pack trips around the Flattop Wilderness, allowing you to see a lot of country or fish several high altitude lakes.  We will tailor a summer trip to your group, let us know what you enjoy doing, pack; pack trip, full service camp, drop camp or equipment drop.

Our hunting season starts with Archery and runs through the first three Rifle seasons.  We are able to operate in all three of the Marvine Drainages,  and on the rim of the FlatTops,  GMU 24.  We will also try to tailor a hunt to your needs, we offer drop camps for archery, muzzleloader and the rifle seasons.  Additionally we will do equipment drops and game pack out for the more individual hunters.  All our camps are at least an hour horseback ride in from the campground, at elevations in excess of 9,000 feet, giving you immediate access to the White River Elk Herd, the largest in the lower 48.  Whatever you chose, guided or drop, this will be an Elk Camp to remember!

While Adams Lodge operates the hunting and fishing, our cattle company, CJ Slash Commercial Cattle, will give you an opportunity to join us in our ranching life.  Help us move, check or doctor cattle throughout the summer, we can always use the help.

The Bug Scuffle Ranch offers hunting on a total of 2900 acres consisting of various exotic deer, hogs and native whitetail deer. We offer excellent accommodations and allow various hunting methods (rifle, bow, crossbow, etc).
