Source Outdoor Group Named Agency of Record for Edward Byers Master Chief Ret.

Medal of Honor recipient from the Naval Special Warfare Development Group, Edward Byers Master Chief Ret. is pleased to announce Source Outdoor Group of Gainesville, Georgia, as his Agency of Record. In this role, Source Outdoor Group will be tasked with a wide range of responsibilities for American hero, including brand development, social media marketing, and public relations.

Byers looks to grow his brand across several businesses through multiple verticals, including professional speaking and mentoring, consulting and advisory opportunities.

Before hard pivoting into the civilian sector, Byers served 21 years in the Navy as a Navy Corpsman and a Navy SEAL. He served with 2/2 Marines, SEAL Team 4, Pentagon Joint Staff and SEAL Team 6 (ST6) as a Team Leader. In 2020, Byers retired as a Master Chief. 

Byers is the recipient of the Congressional Medal of Honor, our nation’s highest award for valor. He is the first person from ST 6 and the 6th Navy SEAL in history to be awarded the Medal of Honor. Byers is one of 27 Medal of Honor Recipients since 9/11 and one of only 65 living members of the Congressional Medal of Honor Society. He is also the recipient of five Bronze Stars with Valor, two Purple Hearts, Meritorious Service Medal, and numerous other valorous awards.
