Deer live in all states of the U.S.A., and their population numbers are stable. There are an estimated 35 to 36 million Deer in the U.S.A.
Alabama: 1.75 million
Whitetails and mule deer.

Florida: 550,000 to 700,000
Includes a large number of Whitetail deer and fewer than 1,000 rare Key deer.
Georgia: 1.27 million
1,000 Black-tail deer and 110,000 Axis deer. Both species were introduced to Hawaii.
About 520,000 Whitetails and the rest are Mule deer.
About 50,000 Mule deer and the remainder are Whitetail.

The Columbian white-tail is a rare species named after the Columbia River. These deer live on a series of islands along the river.
West Virginia: 550,000
