DU TV this week: Future Generations
Watch it on the Sportsman Channel
This week Ducks Unlimited Television (DU TV) takes you around the country, showcasing Ducks Unlimited’s (DU) commitment to developing the next generation of conservationists.
Co-host Ashley Horobetz starts the show in Mississippi with past DU scholarship winners Jake and Ford Lange. The brothers both chaired their DU Varsity chapters in high school and share a passion for wetlands conservation and the outdoors lifestyle.
“A major goal of mine is to involve my kids in conservation,” said Ford Lange. “It’s scary to me to think there could be an entire generation that doesn’t hunt, doesn’t fish, doesn’t enjoy the outdoors. I want my children to have the same experiences I have had. I know those experiences outdoors have made me a better person.”
The episode continues with highlights from previous shows this season featuring youth in the outdoors. Young outdoors enthusiasts are the future of wetland conservation and DU works diligently to educate our youth about conservation benefits, not only for waterfowl but other wildlife and people.
Also included on this episode of DU TV, Phil Bourjaily reviews the new Browning Maxus II on “Guns and Gear,” DU CEO Adam Putnam talks about the link between hunters and conservation on “Insights,” and DU TV co-host Fred Zink shows you how to clean and maintain a duck call on “Duck Talk.”
DU TV airs Tuesdays at 1 a.m., Wednesdays at 7:30 a.m., Fridays at noon, Saturdays at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. and Mondays at 3 a.m. (all times Eastern) on the Sportsman Channel. The Saturday 2 p.m. slot anchors “The Landing Zone presented by Ducks Unlimited” waterfowl and upland hunting lineup. Bonus content and classic episodes can also be found at www.ducks.org/dutv.
DU TV is sponsored by Browning Arms, Browning Ammunition, Drake Waterfowl Systems, Zink Calls, Higdon Outdoors, Purina Pro Plan, Mossy Oak Camo, Mossy Oak Properties, Mossy Oak Biologic, Mossy Oak Nativ Nurseries and Tetra Hearing.
